WebBloch simulations using both single-peak and multiple-peak fat models were performed to predict the performance of these methods for a wide range of echo times and repetition times. The quality and degree of fat/water separation was evaluated in both simulations and using in vivo imaging. WebOur simulations show that a wide and practically useful range of parameters can be prescribed without significantly affecting the performance of the multiple-TR technique. Multiple-TR bSSFP generates a homogeneous pass-band signal, which is identical to the on-resonant bSSFP signal. There are two implications of this signal characteristic.
